San Marino December 17, 2010

GUEST

DOUGLAS HENDERSON - ELISA MONALDI
17 December to 24 January 2011
vernissage Friday, December 17, 18:00

The Gallery of Modern Art Contemporary and the Republic of San Marino is pleased to announce the double staff dedicated to Douglas Henderson and Elisa Monaldi, the third show of the festival GUEST.

The project, organized by the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and curated by Massimiliano Messier, San Marino provides an opportunity for artists to interact and communicate with as many artists of different nationalities active for years at international level. Two of its major functions, the investigation on making art in San Marino and connecting with the international circuits. The project is supported by the militant critic Valerio Dehò, flanked on each two-person by a young critic from San Marino, Francesca Buonfrate on this occasion. The third exhibition of the cycle compares the guest artist and composer Douglas Henderson of Baltimore with the San Marino Elisa Monaldi, two artists who use as medium of their poetic installation. Douglas Henderson has some large-scale sound installations, in which one perceives the concept of chronotope. The manipulation of space and time produced by the works of Henderson psycho-auditory events produce different for each user, calling to mind a specific place, but an imaginary dimension of the ancient world. Paraphrasing Resnik is a journey whose goal is to find a place, to imagine a space that can provide the body or to be the body that allows thoughts to find himself lost. Elisa Monaldi presents some installations of ceramic and wood. With these works the artist Marino draws attention to the everyday objects familiar to us. It shows us how the matter became the subject can help us understand the changes taking place in contemporary societies. Stressing the biologist Waddington, developmental characters that are relatively insensitive to environmental changes can be called stable while relatively sensitive calls can be fleeting.

Turn Off Kidde Smoke Alarm

"debit / credit" by Leonardo Blanco

San Marino 19 November 2010 / 1710 dFR

Friday, November 19th at 18:30 at MatericaHome, the artist Leonardo San Marino Blanco launches personal exposure debit / credit , as part of Moments Art Exhibition 2010 - welcome unusual spaces artists in impromptu events, sponsored by the State Secretariat for Education, Culture, Youth and the University of the Republic of San Marino.

We live in a time of crisis, which only offers the most far-reaching positive visions, (in Chinese the word crisis also means opportunities ). The economy itself, paroxysmal responsible for measuring all human action, falters, together with any coherent discussion about costs and benefits; concepts that are often confused and even reversed, because if an economic crisis has adverse outcomes on people's lives growth is not often that a prosperity of numerical abstractions, which in practice translates only into a life more alienated. Blanco then wonders with his work which are the real costs and real benefits, such as accounts you really should go, and showcases twenty works (mixed media on paper), made for the occasion, trying to track budgets soul. The work is carried on the pages of old records dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, on which the income and expenditure were recorded in an orderly and meticulous fine handwriting, almost a metaphor once ingenuous confidence inspired by the economy. Now that every idea of park policy has been wiped out by the categorical evidence of the events on those counts, the artist has painted old, dirty, marked and rewritten and updated his personal budget, a journey that brings us back to a present more and more unreal, strange, and somewhat absent this a complex and layered, torn between reassuring certainties that do not anymore, and a future that must be reconsidered. "Waste crisis is a terrible "(Vikram Pandit, Citigroup)

Leonardo Blanco (Santarcangelo, 1968) is the author of paintings, sculptures and installations. His artistic career, the beginnings firmly rooted in the tradition of local teachers as Moroni, gradually ventured into other territories, exploring in a thick and thin while the emotional condition of contemporary man. Since the early nineties, she has held several solo exhibitions in San Marino, in Italy and Belgium, and participated in group exhibitions in London, Los Angeles, Istanbul, United Arab Emirates, Beijing (2 ^ Art Biennale, in 2005) and Venice (in 2007 Open10 - International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations, and in 2009 the 53rd Biennale of Art). E 'winner of numerous awards and competitions. His works are preserved in public and private collections, some are on permanent display in the Republic of San Marino and abroad.

How Long Does Opalesence Gel Last?

Photography: joys and sorrows

Today the web is full of amateurs, like me, who try in every way to make themselves known and to have their photos published in magazines or online with next to their name. All this for personal gratification and the future hope of working for a newspaper.
I am among those who are increasingly looking to grow, to have their own style and be appreciated by those who look at my pictures and experts in the field.
is why in recent years put my picture on the community of photographers, in order last time the most famous of all "flickr."
This allowed me to compare myself, to grow and especially to find friends with whom you can exchange tips and progetti.Con time but I saw that these communities were close to me, I need to compete with newspapers, online magazines, the editors of newspapers, etc..
Besides a few minor exceptions, for their professionalism and copyright compliance, see Fotoup, Shoot4change and Caazine Art, everything else proved to be a living hell.
If you ask them to put to the test, you say yes but if you publish the photo is not your name or, as happens in my territory, not just respond to your request for collaborazione.Neanche to give you a simple denial. There is the utter indifference.
If you know someone already in the field of journalism you hope to do some publishing otherwise it is useless to try.
Everybody wants your photos for free but if you ask for something more you slam the door in his face.
This is the most fortuitous, worse is when the flickr your photos are stolen by unscrupulous persons, and without respect for your work and use for their own purposes even under the name of another author, as I happened to see lately.
All this has created in me a lot of nausea and the desire not to publish more photos on web.Preferisco give her thanks and I have a courtesy and do not give it to some magazine or online site that you do not take in consideration.
All this because I feel I can do much more than just a game of community. Unfortunately, having no other choice I'll take some time off to see if there are spiragli.Altrimenti back to get pictures on my computer just for me to look in breaks.

Thea Tini, Artists Association of San Marino (ASART), will represent San Marino in Beijing (China) to the Fourth Beijing International Art Biennale (BIAB).

The opening ceremony of the Biennale will take place on 19/20 September and in the days following the selected artists will participate in the symposium on the theme "Commitment Environmental and Human Existence Ideal Art".

The selected work is titled "Univers0 0" and is part of the "UNIVERS0" presented for the first time at the Venice Biennale in 2009.

In this work the issue environment is addressed through the play of two colors: yellow and blue which creates the green, which evokes a symbolic nature, balance, harmony, ecology.

The Beauty of Nature is the inspiration art Thea Tini and will also be the main thesis of his speech at the conference in Beijing.

4 th Beijing International Art Biennale, China 2010

Thea Tini 's Speech : Environmental Awareness and Human Existence

Work no 66-1-1 “univers00”

The industrial world, current economic models, and strong demographic growth have brought the Earth to the brink of collapse. It is essential that we lighten our burden on the Earth to make it more sustainable. We should consider this urgent need to change course a wonderful opportunity for the evolution of human beings on all levels. This new challenge demands technological and entrepreneurial innovations as well as inventions on the community, social, political, artistic, and spiritual levels. To build a sustainable and desirable world, we need qualities which belong to the human heart and spirit, such as ethics, imagination, courage, trust, and love. Art plays an important role in the evolution of humanity, as it works with and for our hearts. As creators of Beauty, artists should always be inspired by the Beauty of Nature.

Keeping Nature and its Beauty close to our hearts contributes to building a sustainable and desirable world.

My education is in art and science. I have a Degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Bologna in Italy and a Doctorate in Environmental Education from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. After high school I embarked on a journey of personal research, travelling around the world and studying art and yoga with European, Asian and American masters. I also led a pilot project called “ Raggio di luce ” (“Ray of Light”), which teaches environmental education at all school levels in the Republic of San Marino. The project combines art, science and meditation. For details, see the University of San Marino University website at www.educazione.sm .

My art (and “univers0”) communicates the importance of keeping a healthy relationship with Nature, other human beings and the Self.

The work selected for the 4 th Beijing Biennale is “UNIVERS0 0”, which I painted in 2008. It is part of a work in progress called “UNIVERS0”, which was born from a vision, a meeting of light and shadow. A radiant yellow meets an enveloping blue and green is born, symbolizing balance, nature, harmony and ecology.

This vision is materialized directly by the choice of supports and the typology of completely natural pigments.

The colors are left free to manifest their expressive force.

In the microcosm of the painting a form thus takes shape, which is analogous to the one flowing in the macrocosm, emphasizing the naturalness of becoming, of the birth and death of worlds.

The choice of watercolors evokes the amniotic fluid which life is born from.

“UNIVERS0” is a metaphor of the infinite possibilities of combinations of primary elements in a chaotic, emotional process which takes place in the human soul. This process asserts the universality of the living experience and the uniqueness of “being”.

The theme of mirroring and “doubles” is part of this metaphor. UNIVERS0 becomes the mirror of recognition of the “other”–as a part of oneself–in a unique, deep and natural life breath, beyond any duality or separatist individuality.

The work is completed by a performance called “Dance of the universe”, for dance emphasizes the continuous movement of all that exists. Indeed, forms and events are the aspects through which energy flows and life exists.

(The video of the performance can be viewed on my website www.theatini.com under “performances” ).

DANIELA KARAT - NICO GRINDER
17 September 2010 - October 24, 2010

A great international art project that soon will come to life in the San Francisco Museum of , organized by the Art Gallery Modern and Contemporary Republic of San Marino and curated by Massimiliano Massier.

E ' GUEST the show where art meets the art of the small republic of other nations represented by as many talented artists. A series of initiatives that will take place over three years and whose common element is intended to compare an artist and one of another nationality San Marino. In any event, in addition, the presence of well-known critic Valerio Dehò supported by the participation of a young critic of San Marino.

The first exhibition at which you can attend the bi-opens with staff photographers Daniela Carati and Nico Macina . Through this particular instrument of expression, the artists intend to communicate concepts clearly defined. Daniela Carati, Italian nationality, has nine images taken by one of his latest projects "and ALL ALL ALL".

The images chosen are well matched with the thought of Rousseau and focus on the cultural evolution of man. In the shots of Carats, in fact, there is something inserted between the animal and human figures immersed in rarefied places surreal, sometimes threatening, sometimes playful, which are represented in the dreams and fears.

Very interesting, also, a triptych entitled "SPECIAL GUEST " proposed by the artist Nico Macina San Marino and the original review of The Last Supper . Work is represented by a large tablecloth on which are supported laden bread, wine and thirteen seats. To invade the viewer is certainly the sense of expectation, Nico Macina concept which is linked to reflect on the question of Augustine ' timelessness of being: Time is only in our consciousness, the future is waiting and the past is memory.

The exhibition will run from September 17 to October 24 and will be open daily during the following hours 11:00 to 13:00 / 15:00 to 19:00. More information can be obtained from number 0549.885414 or by writing to info.museidistato @ pa.sm

The landscape setting of the Furlo Gorge State Nature Reserve will host, from 7 August to 12 September 2010, the exhibition "The Nature and Things" at the church Santa Maria delle Grazie in Fermoy (PU).

The church, leaning against the entrance of the Gallery of Vespasian, the sheer cliff of Candigliano, was built at the end of 1400 as a tribute to the willingness of travelers who, at that crossing point, thanking the Virgin Mary 's safely crossed the Gorge, without a technological means.

's event, wanted by the Department Proloco for Culture and the Municipality of Fermoy in collaboration with the Furlo Gorge State Nature Reserve Province of Pesaro and Urbino, will open Saturday, August 7 at 18:00.

"The Nature of Things and" wants to revive the passage of men who, faced with the hardships that had an adverse nature, they gathered in a sacred place, narrow and built on soft ground. The public, in fact, you will meet and become an integral part of artistic work in progress , taking back, together with the artists, a site of great scenic and environmental.

New technology meets nature, surrounded by a scenario which also has an impressive industrial monument, which is the hydroelectric plant of the '20s' s Enel.

The catalog

whose graphic design was done by Jonathan Pierini will be presented Sept. 12 in conjunction with finissage day of the feast of the River.

's time to seaside holidays

Bassa marea timely arrival of summer every year we ask the same problema.Dove this year we will go to sea? In a town famous or not famous? Sleep in a hotel, guesthouse or in a house rented? There are many problems to be solved once these affrontare.Ma, that's just around the corner the largest arrival of problemi.Andremo on the beach or in a lido, where we welcome you with warm sweet, umbrellas, chairs, etc? This is because the estimate of a vacation is an item that affects not poco.Soprattutto with an average family of two adults and two children.

I thought this because, unfortunately, in Italy, in because of poor law enforcement, the sea seems to have become no more of a tutti.Se you have money you can afford everything, but you do not have enough, you have no right to get a bagno.Infatti like every year concessions for strands are given at all, so the beaches are less and less and when they are small, poorly served and not easy to raggiungere.Tutto this in spite of various laws that require the presence of free beaches, keeping in perfect condition by municipalities and by offering a minimum of services.

Unfortunately not, and it tells a person who has always used the beaches libere.Addirittura although the law provided for the obligation of the managers of the beaches to be free access to the shoreline for those who want to make only the bathroom and then a distance of 5 meters from the sea and the beach umbrellas, the cdbattigia to which all can access and which must always be free, there are always fights and even some people you pay also the only access to the sea.

I encourage everyone to make the necessary complaints to consumer associations, law enforcement, but never to the local police, because they often pretend not vedere.Spesso I witnessed such incidents.

All this to tell you that if a peaceful day at sea must be turning into a fight is better to know before and take the necessary precautions or choose other resorts in the lakes or momtagna, etc.. The online site
the exhibition (virtual) of the painter Antonio

San Marinoni July 1 2010/1709 FFR

From San Marino Fixing

art which renews the 'art. Decomposes, the recomposed, the multiplies. Amplification. From July 15 to August 8 (admission free), in the magnificent Palazzo SUMS, San Marino City, is scheduled the exhibition of paintings by Antonio Lengua, "Fragments". Fragments of paintings, details that are amplified, the little that becomes great and steals the show at the overall look.
The basis of this solo artist born in Cervinara, but living in San Marino for a lifetime, there is the idea of taking the two executives who participated in the 53rd edition of the Venice Biennale and decompose them in detail. Just fragments of the two works, "Outside World" and "Angle of Town."
"This is the magic of art - explained Antonio Lengua - even when you think you've seen it all before you realize how important perspective. Painting these two works was a real thrill, as always. Also brought to Venice, the most important exhibition ever, the Biennial, has played for me a great importance. And then when I got the idea to work on these works piece, I was able to enter again in the paintings, lost in the details. "
Specifically, "Outside World" has been split into twelve parts, "Angle of cities in eight. Twenty square measuring 100 by 120 and 80 100 in which the two original paintings are reproduced in full, with some "focus" on the details that the artist considered it more significant.

Thursday, July 15 at 18:30 the "paint" . Refreshments will follow.

"Fragments" is sponsored by the Secretariat of State for Culture and the weekly San Marino Fixing.

For information: tel. 0549-905011.

It 's like Antonio Lengua was born in and with his paintings. A source in the world similar to the myths of the "Via dei Canti" by Bruce Chatwin: there the world was born from the primordial pool was created and singing. It is as if the artist was fed by the mouth of the eyes of what he created: to grow, to live and multiply. It 's like Antonio Lengua had developed in his eyes, eating-food image, a kind of 3D visualization. And the hours offered to visitors of his staff by making a fragmentation of original works: go inside a painting, explore it, deny it and resuscitate it for playback simultaneously.
committed a murder-suicide by loneliness, a single painting, one Lengua, and pull out from the bowels of a painting, a hundred, a thousand quadrilengua.
The Journey of the close-in "Angle of the City" is certainly fascinating.
A head almost hidden by three quarters, sharp profile and aerodynamic hair cap, is protected behind up to the top of the neck by a mantle composed of futuristic sections of a cone and inverted triangles ocher, and blue light, degrading up to the blue. They were in the original opening in long shot, sections of a building in the city desolate and menacing landscapes. Beside and behind the man with a cloak, a clear glass door and blind: it shows nothing behind his glasses. Another woman's head, perfect profile, long jaw, the iris blue corner of the eye. Now dominates the little man with a cloak, it seems to ignore it. Again, these sections of geometric volumes, piled up next to each other, build a technological and futuristic costume covering the woman, Moebius and Metropolis Fritz Lang That suit, in the vision of the original painting, was a large wing, there dark green, swampy, now in light blue from the degradation of the moon. Again the woman's head in the foreground, behind a hard gray stone stands out the hat-hair plotting curved lines that follow one another like waves.
Behind a glimpse of the landscape where a triumphant high pyramid and pointed. Another result of the multiplication: only city landscape as the eye. Walls without windows, houses without roofs, open to the sky boxes, ocher, which levitates on a light blue river that falls into a lake roof supported by a yellow cone. And again one after the other pieces of architecture lenghiana: walls bearing, cylinders, planes, steps, circular windows, columns with stand, strings, a delirium constructivist geometric mathematics. Large stones, polished rocks, hills, stone, and are supporting the edge of town.
The blue sky is streaked with orange.

(Saverio Mercadante)

spared the eyes, takes over the Arts. E 'zooming in on detail, what he wanted to go in its investigation Antonio Lengua: as a lens as a microscope, to go into detail and (re) create, almost spontaneous germination, a work "other." Or better: 12 operas, 12 bursts, which only finally reassembled into the original. So for "Out of the world" that the breakdown - but only apparently - of time, creates a kind of journey from the initial miniaturization, it becomes an open window on the universe.
The power of the image comes out with energy and force in the first enlargement in which three peaks - the three towers of the Republic of San Marino - bathed by a moonlight, seem to illuminate the back of a King, and crouching wrapped - in a kind of contemplation - a sculpture before. An eye on and threatening instead invades the observer approaches the second work. It 's a watchful character, from a silence that instills the sky marked cross - the resurrection of condemnation and - under the stage and a low color, which brings to life in spring. Work instead on two points of light - a low and a high - the third survey: a ball that resembles a center for darts to be counterbalanced by a moon, small: a pale eye, which is positioned in front of a giant finger, which seeks the way of sublimation. The two eyes in the fourth picture, rotate 90 degrees: if the needle retains its icy light, the world Parti - another galaxy, another life, another system - appears in the guise an autumn sun, but less intense that can bring rural life (the image of the green leaf that makes him the hat speaks of sap from plants, breath) probably bucolic. The fifth moment - five fingers drawing the limb, bridegroom art - leads the observer in the universe, a privileged place of meditation on the globe: the world summed up in two colors (green and blue), faces - interlude from a little sun - a matter of mind in which, in a choice of removal of edges meets the smoothness of the curve, as if to strike a balance of form and volume. Matter that appears in the zoomed Next: the world bicolor is laid bare, and - unobstructed - gives his energy to a small sun. The yellow disc, however, appears much more weight: the point of color is thick, almost oily, but still far from summer autumn weakened. It 's a sun invents nicer looking, not perfect. A place where life can be reborn, where the crown of the King finds dazzling rays. Where the grain is interwoven with dreams of man. In the seventh fragment the world is far away - the colors and materials, uniform, crumpled - caught by a hooked hand who wants to choke. Or will it lift a trophy. A perfect shape, a city-state, but far from the utopian dashed by the philosopher Thomas More. The King - but with her face uncovered - returns the eighth picture: the real cream is wrapped in a scarf, and seems to ignore the vorticity of the scene that appears behind him, a muffled sky turns into an eye without a pupil who observes - from the sea bed - the back of the crown, without asking any questions sociological.
Use the magnifying glass, Lengua, for the ninth cut: the ominous figure of the second picture looks bigger - perhaps an adult - and reveals the strength of the survey: those coming into the eyes of the observer to be the ghosts of the mirror 'humanity. Efforts geometric instead affect the tenth step, which takes place in the dance volume of cold lines and curves of nature. But it is still the globe, this time enriched its most genuine colors - green and blue - to give the name of the eleventh note: the air is crisp, balanced between a moon and a sun Lilliput, lost its reflexes, marks the time of humanity. It has shades munchiane the closed greenhouse, the sun - the only man - in shades echo maternal (pink), as if to bring his eyes to the womb, the first source of nourishment of life. And what happens in the mind - the spur gold, symbol dream par excellence - in the end, it remains just a dream. Away. Or, to paraphrase the artist, "Out of the world."

"Lights and Shadows" of Blanco on display at the Chamber of Commerce of San Marino

"Lights and Shadows" of Blanco on display at the Chamber of Commerce of San Marino

" Lights and shadows "is the theme that the painter Marino Leonardo Blanco has chosen for the exhibition of his latest work.

"Love define maps of places within. Fifteen recent works, created with mixed media in which the author investigates Lights and Shadows , starting from a deep personal meditation to arrive at a broader reflection on the reality that surrounds him. The author is told through his works, leaving out an interior made of contrasts and oppositions. The artist gives us a part of themselves, invisible to the eye, that somehow reveals and highlights the contradictions inherent in any human being. Representations of places interior but also physical locations where, abandoned the easy tricks of aestheticism, Blanco focuses on essential forms to arise as critical of the contemporary, comparing seemingly distant worlds. Hence the need to deal with areas of transition, the charm of the place of the border - a touch of color, chiaroscuro contrast - and their power to make harmonious inconsistencies who cohabit the same visual plane. Because it is the border places, the lines to make us perceive the nature of things. A careful look at the inconsistencies of our era, in which the boundaries - geographical, mental - too often exacerbate differences instead of considering a resource that can enrich, complement and illuminate the gray areas of our precarious balance. "

The exhibition of the works is at the Chamber of Commerce of San Marino Fiorina Center (4th floor) - Road Paderna, 2 - Domagnano - RSM from May 7 to July 9, 2010 .
