From July 15 to August 8 (admission free), in the magnificent Palazzo SUMS, San Marino City, is scheduled the exhibition of paintings by Antonio Lengua, "Fragments". Fragments of paintings, details that are amplified, the little that becomes great and steals the show at the overall look.
The basis of this solo artist born in Cervinara, but living in San Marino for a lifetime, there is the idea of \u200b\u200btaking the two executives who participated in the 53rd edition of the Venice Biennale and decompose them in detail. Just fragments of the two works, "Outside World" and "Angle of Town."
"This is the magic of art - explained Antonio Lengua - even when you think you've seen it all before you realize how important perspective. Painting these two works was a real thrill, as always. Also brought to Venice, the most important exhibition ever, the Biennial, has played for me a great importance. And then when I got the idea to work on these works piece, I was able to enter again in the paintings, lost in the details. "
Specifically, "Outside World" has been split into twelve parts, "Angle of cities in eight. Twenty square measuring 100 by 120 and 80 100 in which the two original paintings are reproduced in full, with some "focus" on the details that the artist considered it more significant.

It 's like Antonio Lengua was born in and with his paintings. A source in the world similar to the myths of the "Via dei Canti" by Bruce Chatwin: there the world was born from the primordial pool was created and singing. Walls without windows, houses without roofs, open to the sky boxes, ocher, which levitates on a light blue river that falls into a lake roof supported by a yellow cone. And again one after the other pieces of architecture lenghiana: walls bearing, cylinders, planes, steps, circular windows, columns with stand, strings, a delirium constructivist geometric mathematics. The power of the image comes out with energy and force in the first enlargement in which three peaks - the three towers of the Republic of San Marino - bathed by a moonlight, seem to illuminate the back of a King, and crouching wrapped - in a kind of contemplation - a sculpture before. An eye on and threatening instead invades the observer approaches the second work. It 's a watchful character, from a silence that instills the sky marked cross - the resurrection of condemnation and - under the stage and a low color, which brings to life in spring. Work instead on two points of light - a low and a high - the third survey: a ball that resembles a center for darts to be counterbalanced by a moon, small: a pale eye, which is positioned in front of a giant finger, which seeks the way of sublimation. The fifth moment - five fingers drawing the limb, bridegroom art - leads the observer in the universe, a privileged place of meditation on the globe: the world summed up in two colors (green and blue), faces - interlude from a little sun - a matter of mind in which, in a choice of removal of edges meets the smoothness of the curve, as if to strike a balance of form and volume. Matter that appears in the zoomed Next: the world bicolor is laid bare, and - unobstructed - gives his energy to a small sun. The yellow disc, however, appears much more weight: the point of color is thick, almost oily, but still far from summer autumn weakened. It 's a sun invents nicer looking, not perfect. A place where life can be reborn, where the crown of the King finds dazzling rays. Where the grain is interwoven with dreams of man. In the seventh fragment the world is far away - the colors and materials, uniform, crumpled - caught by a hooked hand who wants to choke. Or will it lift a trophy. A perfect shape, a city-state, but far from the utopian dashed by the philosopher Thomas More. The King - but with her face uncovered - returns the eighth picture: the real cream is wrapped in a scarf, and seems to ignore the vorticity of the scene that appears behind him, a muffled sky turns into an eye without a pupil who observes - from the sea bed - the back of the crown, without asking any questions sociological.
Use the magnifying glass, Lengua, for the ninth cut: the ominous figure of the second picture looks bigger - perhaps an adult - and reveals the strength of the survey: those coming into the eyes of the observer to be the ghosts of the mirror 'humanity. Efforts geometric instead affect the tenth step, which takes place in the dance volume of cold lines and curves of nature. But it is still the globe, this time enriched its most genuine colors - green and blue - to give the name of the eleventh note: the air is crisp, balanced between a moon and a sun Lilliput, lost its reflexes, marks the time of humanity.
