I'm back. After a long period due to lack of testing on the newest release of Ubuntu will give signs of life. Well, here is a case of getting the applause from the development team. Even with installation done via Wubi (integrated into the live cd) the speed is terrible! In fact sometimes I forget to not doing the full installation (so much so that in changing the application I spashscreen sp ******* or the start of the Release Candidate, see previous post). Certainly some problemuccio remains. Surely a small thing but a little annoying. First, the wifi card driver (eh. .. the curse of the notebook!). Then, and this really really annoying, the management of burned dvd in UDF (ie files with more larger than 4 gigabytes). The first solved (just download and install the driver for the wireless compact-Ralink chip ... do not take the backport as recommended in some posts !!!!). The latter is not, that I'm working on 2 / 2 ... Aside from these missteps (the first is really the fault of the kernel and not just Ubuntu) version 8.04 is spectacular. You have no more excuses now to get rid of Windows! Heron flies volaaaaaaaaa Ps Take a look at Tiger ... Linux is' promise sparks distro (or later the first try!)
