We live in a time of crisis, which only offers the most far-reaching positive visions, (in Chinese the word crisis also means opportunities ). The economy itself, paroxysmal responsible for measuring all human action, falters, together with any coherent discussion about costs and benefits; concepts that are often confused and even reversed, because if an economic crisis has adverse outcomes on people's lives growth is not often that a prosperity of numerical abstractions, which in practice translates only into a life more alienated. Blanco then wonders with his work which are the real costs and real benefits, such as accounts you really should go, and showcases twenty works (mixed media on paper), made for the occasion, trying to track budgets soul. The work is carried on the pages of old records dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, on which the income and expenditure were recorded in an orderly and meticulous fine handwriting, almost a metaphor once ingenuous confidence inspired by the economy. Now that every idea of \u200b\u200bpark policy has been wiped out by the categorical evidence of the events on those counts, the artist has painted old, dirty, marked and rewritten and updated his personal budget, a journey that brings us back to a present more and more unreal, strange, and somewhat absent this a complex and layered, torn between reassuring certainties that do not anymore, and a future that must be reconsidered. "Waste crisis is a terrible "(Vikram Pandit, Citigroup)
