The State Secretariat for Education and Culture, University and Youth is pleased to announce the opening the exhibition " Above sea level " to be held from June 25 to July 19, 2010 at the headquarters of Gallery Lodges.
The exhibition is part of the initiatives planned for the event "Sunrise on the Mount" and uses the organizational contribution the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Republic of San Marino . The group above the sea level will focus on the current need to reach a vantage point high in both a poetic sense of ethics, to better see and understand our contemporary world. The Loggia dei Balestrieri become, for this occasion, a meeting place, and virtuous virtual square, the hub which will feed experience, research and poetry by artists working in our area.

It will works with the use of materials, techniques and languages, ranging from painting to sculpture, from photography to collage with mixed media.
At the paint will be presented on site-specific performance project Unspoken monologues of physical theater performance of Martina Conti and Mara Cassiani, with Martina Conti, dancer and choreographer and Mara Cassiani, actress. The project aims to investigate the effects of censorship on the creative mind and part of an historical investigation on the behavior of the artists against censorship, but also an investigation into the effects of natural hide the desire for expression, to suppress an impulse, a statement of cropping and changing its shape. The
Finissage, fall in the events planned for the event "Sunrise on the Mount" and will feature the duo Messieri / Selva Selva Michele, soprano saxophone; Massimiliano Messieri sound projection and live electronics.
